Evidence Management with Easy AUDIT

The Acuity Police Records Management Systems is a comprehensive evidence tracking and auditing system that is used to organize and track all evidence taken in  by the agency.

The new Easy AUDIT feature allows property managers to conduct full, partial, or random sampling audits at any time. All audits are recorded with the results of those audits.

WHO SHOULD USE ACUITY POLICE RECORDS MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS ?

Patrol—As officers collect evidence and enter it into the property system it automatically sets it up the property description, case association, and chain-of-custody for the evidence officer. All of the appropriate information is also transferred to the officer's police report. There will be no duplicate data entry.

Detectives—Also can log in additional evidence that they may gather while investigating the case. In addition, they can review the evidence collected and logged by the patrol officers. If they need to examine the actual evidence they will know where it is located.

Prosecutors—Can review the evidence collect in the case and prepare the court cases to be presented against the defendants. The prosecutors can see if the evidence has been to the lab and its current location and make arrangements for it to be transferred for use in the court.

Evidence Officers—This system allows the evidence officers to track every movement of the evidence keeping a detailed chain- of-custody of the items. The current location of the evidence is always maintained. The property system also helps evidence officers audit the property that is or has been in their custody using the EasyAudit features of the property management system.
